determine ring size

How do I find the right ring size?

Would you like to know your ring size? No problem, we are happy to help you because there are a few simple methods to determine the right ring size for you.

Method 2: Determine the diameter

You may already have a ring in the right size. Then use a knife as an aid. Slide the ring over your knife until it sits firmly on the edge. The knife will be wider at the bottom, which is why the ring will eventually get stuck. Now measure the width of the knife where the ring is. Multiply the length by 3.14 and you will get the inner circumference of the ring in millimeters. If you don't have a suitable knife to hand, you can also use a rolled up piece of paper.

your ring size Your ring diameter (in mm)
48 15.29
49 15.61
50 15.92
51 16.24
52 16.56
53 16.88
54 17.2
55 17.52
56 17.83
57 18.15
58 18.47
59 18.79
60 19.11
61 19.43

Method 3: The ring size measuring tools

If these methods are too imprecise for you, you can also visit a jeweler or department store nearby. They will measure your ring size using various ring size measuring tools such as a ring gauge or ring stick (these are the tools we use in the studio). The ring size can also be determined using a ring template. You can also find ring templates to print out online, so you can easily measure your finger diameter at home as soon as you have printed the template. Another tip: If you decide on a wider ring, you should choose a larger ring size than for a narrow ring. Our open rings are naturally somewhat flexible, as are the connected rings.

Please note: The ring size changes

Fingers on the right and left hand are often different widths. You should therefore measure the ring size on the hand on which you actually want to wear the ring. The fingers of the leading hand are often stronger than those of the other hand. The weather also plays a big role when measuring. In winter, fingers are usually thinner and cooler than in summer, because they often swell in very hot weather. But our fingers do not only change over the course of the seasons. The circumference of fingers often changes during the day, i.e. fingers are thinner in the morning than in the evening. Fingers can also change their circumference when doing certain sports. It is therefore advisable to measure the ring size on two different days and times of day.
